• Blood Collections, Donor Recruitment & Marketing


• Recruitment and marketing staff reach out to our community heroes – blood donors – and the organizations that sponsor blood drives. Positions include marketing specialists, account representatives, and administrative support staff.
• Collections staff travel to blood drives in different locations every day, collecting blood from donors in our communities. Positions include phlebotomists [donor specialists], RN’s, team supervisors, drivers, and administrative support staff.


• Blood Product Production & Distribution


• Blood units are transported to the production department where numerous blood products are manufactured. Positions include technical assistants, supervisors, regulatory specialists, trainers and administrative support staff.
• Blood products are quarantined and not released for distribution until extensive testing has been performed. Positions include lab technicians, supervisors, trainers, and support staff.
• Following release from quarantine, blood products are distributed to hospital blood banks for patients in need. Positions include distribution technicians, supervisors, trainers, and administrative support staff.

Quality Assurance and Operational Support Quality assurance, quality control, training, and process improvement are elements critical to our organization. Some of the positions related to these functions include QA associates and specialists, equipment technicians, education and training specialists, records management specialists, document control specialists, data entry specialists, and others.

• Laboratory and Clinical Services


• We seek highly-skilled medical technologists, SBB’s, technicians, and support staff for our reference and quality control labs.
• Critical care nurses work directly with patients needing therapeutic apheresis services.


• Apheresis Blood Collections


• Apheresis is a special blood collection process that employs the skills of RN’s, LPN’s, medical technicians, recruiters, schedulers, and support staff.

• Administration


• We employ directors, managers, associates and support staff in all the operational areas described above. In addition, our organization includes the functions common to most business organizations: finance, human resources, facilities management, business development, communications, IS, and materials management.

Albany District
